Memorial services for Terry Gale Balch, 52, of Marietta, were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 25, in the Flanagan-Watts Funeral Home Chapel, Marietta, with Chaplain Buddy Jackson officiating.
Born October 11, 1954, in Fresno, California, the son of Louis and Marion Matthews Balch, he died Wednesday, August 22, 2007, in Mercy Health Love County Hospital.
Mr. Balch had made his home in Caruthers, California before moving to Marietta when he was 43. He enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Survivors include a son, Johnny Ray Balch of Nashville, Arkansas; a daughter, Sabrina Rule of Caruthers; three brothers, Fayrond Balch, Danny Balch and Jerry Balch of Marietta; five sisters, Sandra Smith and Lexie Winn of Caruthers, Una Cornelious of Boron, California, Stella Newsom of Gladewater, Texas, and Debra Bass of Riverdale, California; and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Fred Balch; and a sister, Karen Batey.
Honorary pallbearers were nephews, Shawn Newsom, Dustin Newsom, Danny Balch Jr., Steven Singh, Matthew Balch, Ryan Lashway, Tanner Schooley, Neal Moore, David Balch, Mike Balch, Kevin Balch and Scott Balch.
Memorial contributions may be made to Mercy Health Love County Hospital, Marietta in care of the funeral home.
