Henry Grady Baker

March 28, 1932 ~ March 27, 2013

ENID, Okla. - Graveside service for Henry Grady Baker, 80, will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 20, 2013, at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum, with Rev. Carrell E. Still officiating. Visitation with the family this evening 5-6:30 p.m at Anderson-Burris Funeral Home.

Henry was born to W.C. and Cora May (Moore) Baker on March 28, 1932, in San Angelo, Texas, and died Sunday, March 27, 2013, in Enid.

Henry grew up in San Angelo before moving to Enid his junior year. He then graduated from Enid High with the class of 1949.

Henry served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

After his honorable discharge, he married Mary Ellen Nelson in Enid, where they made their home.

Henry worked at Speed Star for 35 years. He was Cubmaster of Cub Scout Pack 18 at Monroe School, and Scoutmaster at Troop 19 at Willow Road Christian Church.

Henry was a member of Willow Road Christian Church. He was a member of 189th Field Artillery Veterans Association and enjoyed those reunions. Henry also enjoyed woodworking.

Henry is survived by his wife, Mary of the home; son, William �Bill� and Teresa Baker of Goltry; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death are his parents, one sister, and daughter, Mary Beth Adamson.

Memorials may be made to OMRF, cancer division.
