Memorial services for Wes Bailey will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, at 2:00 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo, Oklahoma with Reverend Justin Byerly officiating. Wes passed from this life on Saturday, June 11, 2016 in Hugo, OK at the age of 60.
James Wesley "Wes" Bailey, Sr. was born July 7, 1955 in Eloy, AZ to Willard Eugene & Betty Louise (Freeman) Bailey. He married Minnie Jean Tavander on March 1, 1974, in Florence, AZ. James had lived in this area for 30 years, working at the Grant Rural Water Department, a job that made him a part of the lives of many. Wes was loved by all, and he tried to help everyone he could. He had a big heart, and he was a hardworker. Wes was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Diann Bailey.
Wes is survived by his wife, Minnie Bailey, of the home; three sons, James Wesley Bailey, Jr. and wife, Crystal, of Atoka, OK, Thomas Eugene Bailey and wife, Bonnie, of Grant, OK, and Bradley DeWayne Bailey and wife, Shannette, of Messer, OK; five brothers, Darrell Bailey of Antlers, OK, Dennis Bailey of Texas, Curtis Bailey of Grant, OK, Billy Bailey of Oklahoma, and Jimmy Bailey of Arizona; one sister, Mary Covington of Hugo, OK; 13 grandchildren, as well as a host of other family and friends.
