Vernon Anthony Bahr passed away January 6, 2010 at Mercy Health Center, Oklahoma City, OK. Born August 18, 1920 to Frank W. Bahr, Sr, and Mary Victoria Schneider Bahr on a farm north of Albert.
Vernon served in the US Army during WWII where he was assigned to Company A 96th Signal Battalion.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Margaret Sheehan Brack Bahr, his parents, sister, Sr. Mary Francita, ASC, 2 brothers, Herman Bahr and Frank Bahr, Jr. and 1 great granddaughter, Vanessa Dale.
He is survived by his sister Sr. Rose Theresa Bahr, ASC, step daughter: Sheryl Brack Dale and husband Don, 3 grandchildren: Carolyn Dale, Ronald Dale and wife Janie, and Jennifer Holleman and husband Dan, 6 great grandchildren: Erika Kohler, Corey Mumma, Damien and Lauren Holleman, Victoria and Vivian Dale, 3 nephews: William Bahr and wife Mary, Thomas Bahr and wife Mary, and Robert Bahr, 2 great nephews: Jonathan Bahr and wife Amber and Christopher Bahr, and 1 great great nephew: Evan Bahr.
Memorial service will be held at 7 PM, Friday, January 8, 2010 at Our Lady of Fatima in Nicoma Park, OK.
