Dorothy Jean (Taton) Bacon

Dorothy Jean Bacon departed this life to her Heavenly Home on May 26, 2023.

Dorothy was born February 28, 1943 in Sublette, Kansas to Alfred Taton and Dora (Hockett) Taton Blakemore. She was married to Edward R Bacon on August 21, 1961, they married in Midland, TX. Dorothy worked for a brief time at Dillards as a Sales Representative. But her best job was being a homemaker and taking care of Edward and their three children. Dorothy enjoyed reading and bird watching. She was also a member of the Church of the Nazarene.

Dorothy is preceded in death by her husband Edward R Bacon; son Ora Eugene Bacon; father Alfred Ora Taton; mother Dora E. Blakemore and brother Carl Dean Taton.

Dorothy leaves behind her daughter Donna M. Sitterly and husband Larry of Ramona, OK; son Gary D. Bacon and wife Tammy of Elizabethtown, KY and son Charles E. Bacon and wife Tanya of Davenport, OK; Grandchildren Kristi Hodge and husband Dave of Ramona, OK; Michael Sitterly of Ramona, OK; CJ Bacon and wife Shauna of Locust Grove, OK; Cale Bacon and wife Chelsie of Pryor, OK; and Cassey Bacon of Pryor, OK; and great grandchildren Addyson Hodge, Sydney Hodge, Felicity Bacon, Aiden Bacon and Brayden Bacon; also extended family and friends.

Services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, June 2, 2023 at Church of the Nazarene in Caney, Kansas. A guest book is available to share your memories on-line. Please visit www.ParksBrothers.net. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud, Oklahoma.
