B. Diane (Kessler) Backhaus

Aug 17, 1950 - Jan 09, 2009

B. Diane Kessler Backhaus, 58, Altamont, Ill., formerly of Oklahoma and the Stewardson-Strasburg area, passed away at 2:25 p.m. Friday in the Lutheran Care Center in Altamont.

Diane was born Aug. 17, 1950, in Mode, Ill., the daughter of Dwight and Waneta Mae Arnold Kessler.

She married Rodger Ensign in December of 1968. . In April of 2002 she married Walter Backhaus.

A memorial service was held at 10 a.m. today in Lakeview Church in Stillwater. A funeral service celebrating her life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in Trinity Lutheran Church in Stewardson. Pastor Gary Fortkamp and Pastor Richard Bremer will officiate. 

Burial will be in Stewardson Cemetery.
