Memorial services for Crystal Avila will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at the Alva School Auditorium with Rev. John Smith officiating. Cremation and service arrangements are under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home of Alva.
Crystal Gail Avila, daughter of Harold W. Krout and Donetta Jo (Wilcox) Joachims, was born June 29, 1975, at Shattuck, Oklahoma, and passed away July 30, 2019, at Enid, at the age of 44 years, 1 month and 1 day.
Crystal attended Alva Schools. She was united in marriage to Humberto Avila and they had four children, Rebecca, Shelby, Zaxton and Seth. She completed her GED and went on to work as a CNA at Share Hospital for many years. She became an EMT and worked for the Alva ambulance since 2002, and most recently added dispatcher for Woods County to her resume. She made caring for others her mission in life. Her children and her grandchild were her life and as her kids grew up and left home, she would add another dog to her family. All that knew her will truly miss her wit and humor.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Stan Wellington.
