Wilma Jean (Burrnet) Autry
December 25, 1943 ~ December 7, 2022

Wilma Jean Autry was born December 25, 1943 at Lawton, Oklahoma to parents William and Audra (Stephens) Burrnet. She departed this life on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 78 years, 11 months and 12 days.

Wilma lived and grew up in Fairview, OK with her six sisters. Tom and Wilma were married on December 31, 1978, and they chose Watonga to be their home. Wilma had many jobs throughout her life, but her most important ones were being a loving wife and mother. Wilma enjoyed having coffee with her friends and sewing. When given the opportunity she would visit for hours with her children and her sisters. Having her family around her was always very important. Every Christmas season you would find her in the kitchen baking bread and making peanut brittle. Wilma loved her grandchildren. She was always there to help with them whenever it was needed.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, William and Audra, and one sister, Robbie Johns. Survivors include her husband Tom Autry of the home; five children, Bobbie Cope (Mike) of Calumet, OK, Donna Barnes (Jason) of Mississippi, Bryan Archer, Brenda Brewer (George) of Tulsa, OK and Amanda Riley (Neal) of Watonga, OK; five sisters: Barbra Lassiter of El Reno, OK, Alieen Smith of Yukon, OK, JoAnne Lamb of Quanah, TX, Kay Rictor of Liberty, OK and Frankie Newton of Yukon, OK; fifteen grandchildren and several great-great grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, December 17, 2022 at Trinity Baptist Church, 700 N. Clarence Nash Blvd., Watonga, OK with Pastor Zachary Brack officiating. Condolences may be made at www.piercefuneralhomes.com.
