Memorial services for Brennen James Atkeson, 38, of Ada are 2:00 p.m. Friday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel, Dr. Rusty Fuller will officiate.
Brennen passed away Sunday, August 21, 2016 at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was born January 2, 1978 in Ada to Rusty and Kim Fox Atkeson. He graduated from Ada High School in 1996 and received a Bachelor"s Degree in Communication in 2003. Brennen served in the U. S. Navy in the year of 2004.
Brennen worked for the Chickasaw IT department when he moved home after the Navy. He then moved to Norman where he continued his education at OU and worked the past several years at Dell in Midwest City.
Survivors include his father, Gregory "Rusty" Atkeson and companion, Sheila Jones of Ada; his mother, Kim Fox and companion, Lee Haines of Ada; his daughter, Kaya' LoWella Claire Atkeson and her mother, Kesha Bailey Atkeson; his brothers, Daniel Atkeson and Jesse Lee Dalton Pratt, Ada; step-sister, Allison Hughes and husband Lee; his uncles, Kevin Atkeson and wife Lynn, Ada, Monroe Atkeson and wife Sonja, Ada, Bill Summers, Oklahoma City, Phil Summers and wife Christine, Tulsa, Howard Summers and wife Peggy, Broken Arrow, Chad Jumper and wife Kendra, Moore; his aunts, Jackie Rozeboom, Wildwood, MO, Debbie Larson and husband Steve, Overland Park, KS, Mona Berryhill and husband Ken, Mamou, LA, Kathy Tucker and husband David, Fairview, Tammy Sherrell, Ada, Dewanna Sherrell, Tulsa, Sheila Jumper-Stewart, Ada, Krista Hefley and husband Jeff, Tulsa, Delayna Alexander, Ada and Cindy Shrutz and husband Wayne, Woodward; his grandparents, Sharon Sherrell, James and Pam Fox and Norma Miller; and a niece, Payten Pratt.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Vinita Atkeson; grandfather, Pete Atkeson; two uncles, David Rozeboom and Bennie Atkeson; aunt, Sherri Summers; and cousin, Doug Pester.
