Dena Marie (Adams) Aspen
December 30, 1960 ~ June 22, 2020

Dena Marie Aspen, 59, of Harrah, OK, passed from this life on June 22, 2020 in Harrah. She was born to Madonna Sue Choate Adams on December 30,1960 in Enid, OK. She was a graduate of Hennessey High School and worked as a cosmetologist and was a substitute teacher in Harrah Schools.

Dena grew up in Salida, CO and spent considerable time in Alaska before moving back to Oklahoma. She also worked as a medical assistant. Her greatest pleasure was enjoying time with her grandkids and attending their events. She enjoyed traveling, watching reality TV and riding horses.

She was preceded in death by her mother Madonna Adams; brother in law Larry Hicks and son Joseph Shimanek.

Survivors include two sons, Matt and wife Rose Shimanek of Harrah and Cody and wife Chelsea Shimanek of Dover, OK; four grandchildren, Madison, Ali, Sydney and Saylor Shimanek; two sisters Dianna Hicks of Denver, CO and Shannon Gentile and husband Steve of Colorado Springs, CO; and nephews Douglas and Evan Hicks of Denver and Dominic Gentile of Colorado Springs, CO.
