Roger Wayne Ash, 56, of Tecumseh, Oklahoma passed from this life Sunday, March 10, 2019 at his home.

He was born December 31, 1962 to Earl and Rosemary (Bradley) Ash in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.

Roger was raised in Oklahoma City and attended Del City High School graduating with the class of 1981. He lived in Edmond, OK before moving to Tecumseh where he has resided for the last 4 years.

He married Darla Kay Madden on June 8, 2004 in Las Vegas, Nevada and he was her knight in shining tattoos.

Roger worked as a long haul truck driver most recently for C & L Trucking in Tecumseh.

He loved archery and was State Champion Archer in 2013 and 2014. Roger loved hunting and fishing, but most of all he loved riding his Harley with his wife. He was a man who was always full of laughter and sarcasm, and his infectious smile gained him many lifelong friends.

He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Alexis Morris; his father, Earl Ash; his father-in-law, Darold F. Madden; and step-father, Adolf Guttman.

Survivors include his wife, Darla Ash of the home; 4 daughters and 3 sons-in-law, Heather and Junior Swaggerty of McLoud, OK, Christina and Michael Hill of Norman, OK, Beth Hughes of Houston, TX and Summer Moore and Dustin Mattocks of Shawnee, OK; 6 grandchildren, Dawn and Isabella Swaggerty, Jordan Morris, Jimi Mauldin, Michael Hill, Jr. and Paisley Mattocks; his mother, Rosemary Guttman of Moore, OK; 1 brother and 1 sister-in-law, James and Tammy Ash of Midwest City, OK; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Raymond and Mary Bowen; and other extended family and friends.

Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 13, 2019 with family gathering to greet friends and family from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cooper Funeral Home. Memorial Service will be 3:00 p.m., Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Clint Dawkins, Sharon Baptist Church and Jon Baucom officiating under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
