Marjorie Jeannetta (Smith) Arrington

Marjorie Jeannetta (Smith) Arrington
December 17, 1947 ~ June 1, 2025

Born December 17, 1947, in Memphis, Tennessee, to William and Willie Mae Smith, Marjorie (“Margie”) passed away on June 1, 2025, in Salina, Oklahoma, surrounded by her family and friends.

Margie was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Willie Mae Smith, and her brother, Gene Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Nathan Arrington, and her twins: Brian Wilson of Memphis, TN, and Kimberly Sloan (Aaron) of Norman, OK. Margie married Nathan on October 21, 1992, and became stepmother to Casey Arrington (Katie) of Beaver Falls, PA; Julie Ramirez (David) of Haslet, TX; and Kelli Cornwell (Taylor) of Jenks, OK.

Margie cherished her role as “Gigi” to her 10 grandchildren—Jacob, Maegann, Allison, Caleb, Makenzi, Grace, Cadence, Tayson, Leven, and Cohen—and 9 great-grandbabies, with one more on the way!

In her early years, Margie’s family loved horseback riding and camping trips to Pickwick, Tennessee. Later, she and Nathan created lasting memories by taking the family to the lake on weekends for skiing and picnics. Margie also enjoyed outings with her girls, especially when they involved Mexican food, shopping, or browsing antique stores.

She loved sewing, crafting, and occasionally restoring old furniture. Most of all, she adored rocking and singing to the babies!

The family extends their deepest gratitude to the compassionate hospice team—Jinxx, Shayla, and Chantel. Your kindness made a difficult time a little easier, and we are so thankful.

Margie laughed even in her final days. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Online condolences may be made at www.stephens-key.com or on the funeral home Facebook page. Arrangements are in care of Stephens-Key Funeral and Cremation Care of Pryor.
