Doris Jane (Wisdom) Arp
January 12, 1938 ~ August 17, 2019

Doris Jane (Wisdom) Arp of Durant, passed away Saturday, August 17, 2019 at the age of 81. She was born on January 12, 1938 in Bakersfield, CA to John L. Wisdom and Bessie (Lindsey) Wisdom.

A lifelong resident of Bryan County, Doris attended Caddo School. Doris was married to the love of her life, Richard Dewel Arp until his passing in 2016. She was a member of Streetman Road Baptist Church. Doris was a long- time nurse and enjoyed working in the yard during her spare time.

Preceding her in death are her parents, John L. and Bessie Wisdom; husband, Richard Dewel Arp, and brother, Johnny Wisdom.

Survivors include her son, Todd Kinney and wife, Shirley; grandchildren, Ty Kinney, Hannah Kinney, and Tarrah Kinney; nephew, John Craig Wisdom; great-nephew, John Austin Wisdom; sister in law, Norma Sue Wisdom; cousins, Betty Joe Stuteville and daughter, Dale Joines and family along with other extended family members and dear friends.

A celebration of life will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Brown's Funeral Service Chapel in Durant with Bro. Anthony Williams officiating.
