Alfred Gene Arnwine was born January 31, 1954 to Obie and Vera Arnwine in Los Angeles County, California. He departed this life August 21, 2020 at the age of 66 years, 6 months and 20 days.
Alfred grew up attending schools in the Los Angeles area. He bought his first home at the age of eighteen and life began. Alfred Arnwine and Laphawne Conley were united in marriage on August 22, 1985; to this union were born two children. Working for KWIKSET and later Solvay, he provided for his family. In 1992, Alfred brought his family from Los Angeles to Bristow. Being that Alfred was an all-around people person, he was sure to thrive no matter where he was. He found joy in all things, but most importantly, in spending time with his family. As well, Alfred enjoyed watching football or basketball, movies, attending car shows and cooking out at the park. Time was always made for playing cards and dominos. These were good times; never alone, always filled with family.
Alfred is survived by his wife of 35 years, Laphawne of the Bristow home; one son, Demekan Arnwine of Missouri; one daughter, Krystal Arnwine of Tulsa; six sisters, Barbara, Joyce, Rosemary, Diana, Dorothy and Sharon; two brothers, Donny Arnwine and Marvin Ford; four grandchildren, Tony Hernandez, Kayla Griffin, Demekan Arnwine and Brooke Arnwine; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Obie and one brother Allen Arnwine.
A day of visitation is scheduled for Thursday, August 27, 2020, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Hutchins-Maples Matherly Funeral Home.
