Harvie Venton Armour born February 11, 1932, in Garvin County OK to the late Harvey Venton Armour and Audie (Roberts) Armour passed away September 13, 2022.
He served in the United States Army and later settled in California where he was an accomplished Forklift Mechanic.
He and his wife Anne moved to Bartlesville Oklahoma where he started his family-owned business known as Elite Carpet Care where he worked and lived for 27 years.
Fondest memories include his playful personality and his kindness to everyone he met.
While in CA he and his wife through Evangel Tabernacle church became a ministry of help for 17 years to serve families in need of assistance with food, clothing and furniture. During this time, they fostered a total of thirty-seven children at various times in their home and chose to adopt three to welcome as their own, adding to their blended family of children and grandchildren.
Harvie loved the outdoors, he spent afternoons sitting on his porch overlooking several acres watching any wildlife that came by.
He spent time fishing, deer hunting, turning wood on his lathe, and always took time to spend with his friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and two brothers, and his son Jamie Lynn Armour.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-two years, who he fondly referred to as “his sweetheart”,
Anne Armour. His son Michael Venton Armour and wife Carla (White) Armour, his sister Cassie Tucker and her five children, Harvie's five children and three stepchildren and grandchildren, as well the many who respected him as the closest of friends and often referred to him as family.
Memorial Service will be held at: Spirit Church
On Tuesday, September 20,2022 at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, the Armour family has requested donations be made to Spirit Church in designation to: Jared and Kaila Shoultz, Christian Missionaries serving in Mozambique, Southern Africa.
