Terry Wayne Armor, Sr., of Durant, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2025, at the age of 65. He was born on December 26, 1959, in Sherman, Texas, to Billy Wayne and Edwina (Rich) Armor. Terry was a hardworking man of with an enthusiasm for life's simple pleasures.
Terry grew up in a large, close-knit family, where he learned the value of hard work and the importance of family bonds. He ventured into the world of welding, where he earned a reputation as a reliable independent contractor. Outside of his work life, Terry was an avid outdoorsman. He found joy in the peace of nature, whether he was fishing, tracking game through the woods, or setting traps with the patience and knowledge of a seasoned hunter. His love for the outdoors was only matched by his passion for sports. He was an avid Washington Redskins fan, and had a love for NASCAR, cheering on his favorite driver, Kevin Harvick, through every thrilling race.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving mother, Edwina Armor, and his siblings: Gwen Armor, Jimmy Armor, Darrell Armor and his wife Cynthia, Jeff Armor, and Beth Armor, his sons, Terry Armor, Jr. and his wife Jessica, and James Donald Armor. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Martha Armor. His legacy lives on with his nine grandchildren: Kaleb Armor, Mckenzie Armor, Chloe Armor, Briley Armor, Dylan Armor, Alexis Armor, Jacqualyne Armor, Gabriel and Tristan Armor who brought him great joy. His best friends, David O'Royal and Junior Krueger, will always remember the countless memories they shared.
Terry was preceded in death by his father, Billy Wayne Armor, his brother Donald Armor, his sister Tammy Armor, his uncle James Rich, and his great-nephew Zane Walks.
A memorial service to honor Terry's life will be held on Monday, February 3, 2025, at 3:00 p.m., in the Holmes-Coffey-Murray Funeral Home Chapel.
