Marcus Alan Armitage was born September 20, 1954 to Marland and Marzetta Armitage in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. He departed this life Monday, July 3, 2017 at the age of 62 years, 9 months and 13 days.
He attended Sapulpa Public Schools until moving to Bristow in High School and graduating in 1972. He then attended East Central University for three years.
On February 14, 1984 Mark Armitage and Kim Kuykendall were united in marriage. From this union was born one son, Trevor. Mark enjoyed going camping with his family and hunting; as well, he especially loved his dogs. He was very proud of his son. He loved attending Trevor’s sporting and school events.
Mark was a union pipefitter local 430. He recently received his 40 year service pin. He was known for his gentle loving spirit and kind soul. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Armitage of the Bristow home; one son, Trevor Armitage of Norman, Oklahoma; parents, Marland and Marzetta Armitage of Bristow; mother in law, Joretta Kuykendall. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Clint and Willie McGuire and paternal grandparents, Jay and Nola Armitage as well as his father in law, Glen Kuykendall.
Services are scheduled for 2:00PM, Wednesday, July 12, 2017 at the Bristow First Free Will Baptist Church with Reverend Gene Jackson and Reverend Ron Hunter officiating.
