Larry Junior Argo

Larry Junior Argo
July 31, 1947 ~ February 1, 2024

Larry Junior Argo was born July 31, 1947 and passed away peacefully at home on February 1, 2024 at the age of 76. Larry was born in Humboldt, TN to Mildred Sellers And Martin 'Red' Argo.

As a young boy he attended Trezvant schools. Larry enjoyed playing baseball and at the age of 14, pitched a no hitter in a high school all star game. Larry would also ride his motorcycle to Memphis to box in the Golden Gloves in the late 1960's. While in Memphis, and underage, he would often sneak into clubs to see B. B. King and other local musicians and bands.

Larry was married to Ann Peery on May 3, 1967 at Jolly Springs Baptist Church near Dresden, TN. They had five children, Tracy, Bobby, Mandy, Martin and Angie.

The couple lived in Dresden, TN before moving to Pawnee, OK in 1981 where they have lived since.

Larry spent many years watching his children play football, baseball, and participate in other school activities. He loved being a Papa and enjoyed time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren and often bragged to others of their accomplishments. He enjoyed fishing, cook-outs, family gatherings filled with laughter, his dogs Buddy and Shorty and watching old westerns.

Larry is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ann, Pawnee; children Tracy Argo & Vickie, Anchorage, AK; Bobby Argo & Connie, Pawnee; Mandy Argo, Pawnee; Martin & Alisa Argo, Pawnee; and Angie Argo White, Pawnee; 8 grandchildren, Matt, Mariah, April, Delaney, Maegan, Robbie, Megan & Jack Ray; and 14 great grandchildren.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, grandparents and sister Wilma Ann and his beloved dog, Harley.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements were entrusted to Poteet Funeral Home.
