Services were held for Mrs. Leona May Smallwood Arganbright in the Baptist Church in Strong City, Friday July 19, 1963. She died July 17, 1963 after a short illness.
Graveside services were held at the Wheeler, Texas cemetery by Rev. Vaughn of Strong City.
Leona May Smallwood was born September 15, 1876 in Perrin, Missouri. She was converted at the age of 14 and joined the Methodist Church. Later she joined the Baptist Church. She lived a good Christian life.
She was married to George Walker and to this union was born Chester and Lavena, both deceased. She was later married to Joe Davis. One son, Russell was born to this union. He survives and now lives in Lubbock, Texas. Later she married Oran Arganbrith.
The past three years she had resided with her grandson, Dale Hiatt and wife Janice at Strong City.
Two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death. Her youngest sister Georgie Bailey lives in Strong City. Her grandson, Dale Hiatt also lives at Strong City.
