Richard Ardrey, Sr. a longtime resident of Colbert, Oklahoma left this life to soon in Bryan County on Sunday, July 6, 2014 at the age of 47 years. He was born in Ada, Oklahoma on Tuesday, September 13, 1966 to Dick and Nancy (Brady) Ardrey.
Richard was of the Baptist faith. He lived in Colbert for most of his life. Richard will be remembered as a true "people person" who had a giving and compassionate heart, who was always willing to help anyone. He loved his son and family and everyone knew he considered them his greatest blessing.
Richard is survived by his son, Richard Brett Ardrey Jr. of the home; girlfriend, Rachel Moore of Colbert, Oklahoma; father, Dick Ardrey of Colbert, Oklahoma; sisters, Debbie McKinnon and husband David of Colbert, Oklahoma and Bonny Barkley and husband Jimmy of Calera, Oklahoma; nephews, David McKinnon, Jr. of Ardmore, Oklahoma, Daniel McKinnon of Colbert, Oklahoma, Jonathan Barkley and wife Chasity of Calera, Oklahoma, Jason Barkley of Oregon and Bradley Barkley of Achille, Oklahoma; niece, Amanda Kraemer of Colbert, Oklahoma; numerous great nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in death by his grandmother, Goldie Lewellen; mother, Nancy C. Ardrey.
A Memorial Service for family and friends to gather will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at the Holmes Coffey Murray Chapel in Durant with Bro. Jesse West officiating.
