Mrs. Lavinia "Jean" Aragon, 91, of Bartlesville, died at 1:05 A.M. on Wednesday, February 21, 2018 at the Forrest Manor Nursing Home in Dewey.
Funeral services for Mrs. Aragon will be held at 10 A.M. on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 in the Stumpff Funeral Home Chapel with Chaplain Steven Griffith of Grace Hospice officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2 P.M. on Wednesday at the Fairview Cemetery in Cherryvale, Kansas under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home & Crematory. Casket escorts will include Matt Lynn, Jay Knight, Curtis Wells, John Hower, Kevin Burnor and Randy Rice.
Friends who wish may call for visitation and to sign the guest book at the Stumpff Funeral Home on Monday and Tuesday from 9 A.M. until 8 P.M.
Mrs. Aragon was born at Wichita, Kansas on March 11, 1926 the daughter of John H. and Bernice (Burnside) Knight. She grew up and received her education in Wichita and later moved to Cherryvale, Kansas where she was active as a homemaker. She moved to Bartlesville to be near her daughter in 1999. Mrs. Aragon had attended the Nazarene Church in Cherryvale, Kansas and she liked to sew.
Survivors include one daughter, Terry Brashear and husband Joe of Bartlesville, three sisters, Donna Dottery, Karen Wells and Sharon Hower, all of Wichita, Kansas, four grandchildren, Mark Baker and wife Susan and Scott Baker and wife Elaine, Justin Brashear and Danielle Brashear, four great grandchildren, Marcus, Hailey, Drew and Violet and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
