Frank Andrews, age 62 of Lexington, passed away Thursday September 17, 2015 surrounded by his family at home. Ronald Franklin Andrews was born May 4, 1953 in Kansas City, MO, the 4th of 5 children born to Elgene Franklin Andrews and Lorene (Goldsberry) Andrews. He was raised on a farm near Halfway, MO, where he attended school, graduating in 1971.

Frank married his best friend and soul mate, Patricia Murlene Shaw on October 16, 1976. He then joined the United States Army served his country proudly. They made their home in Colorado for a time while stationed at Fort Carson. They moved back home to Missouri for a time before settling east of Lexington in 1982. They made their home on the Salyer Ranch where together they raised their children.

Frank loved life on the ranch, and spent nearly 20 years roaming the range. He was a true cowboy. He loved cattle and hunting and fishing. Frank joined the Cleveland County Sheriff’s Department as a Reserve Deputy, and eventually working full time in the department. Frank was a devoted Christian and raised his family to trust in the Lord. He was a wonderful husband and father, grandfather, brother, uncle and a good friend. He will be dearly missed!

He was preceded in death by: His parents, Elgene and Lorene Andrews and His brother, Derrell Andrews.

Frank leaves behind: His wife, Trish Andrews of the home; Son, Dustin Andrews and wife Deana; Daughters, Amy Andrews, MO Christa Spears and husband Ryan, of Lexington; Brothers, Larry Andrews of Bolivar, MO and Bruce Andrews and wife Patty of Halfway, MO; Sister, Joy Matthews of Kansas City, MO; 5 grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.

Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 A.M. Monday, September 21, 2015, at the Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel. Send online condolence at wilsonlittle.com Visitation will be Sunday, from 5-8p.m., at Wilson-Little Funeral Home.
