The funeral for Evelin Lenore Andrews, 83, will be Saturday at 10 AM at the First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in Nebraska City, Nebraska. Pastor Stephen P. Berry will officiate. Burial will be at Wyuka Cemetery, Nebraska City, Nebraska. A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Salem United Methodist Church in Drummond.
Visitation for friends will be Friday from 9 AM to 9 PM at the funeral home, and one hour before the service at the church. The family will greet visitors Friday from 7 to 8 PM at the Peterson Mortuary Chapel.
She was born September 19, 1914 in Syracuse, Nebraska to Lewis William and Eleanor Wiles and died Sunday, May 3, 1998 at her home in Enid.
On June 13, 1935 she married Earl Harry Andrews near Syracuse, Nebraska. She worked as a speech pathologist for Educational Service Unit No. 4, retiring in 1979.
She is survived by three daughters, Lorna Dean Larson of Fort Washington, Washington, Bonnie Lee Frick of Albion, Michigan, and Fay Eleanor Andrews of Enid; and one brother, Elson Wiles of Syracuse, Nebraska; four grandchildren, two step – grandchildren, and eight great – grandchildren.
Memorials may be made through the funeral home to the First Christian Church Foundation, the Enid Hospice – Circle of Love, or the Salem United Methodist Church
