Sue J. Anderson was born July 5, 1937 in Wheeler, Texas to Dorothy and Irvin Hink. She passed away March 2, 2015 at Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at the age of 77 years, 7 months and 27 days.
Sue grew up at Kelton, Texas and graduated from Kelton High School in 1955. She was married to Marvin Anderson at Clovis, New Mexico on July 9, 1955 and they lived in Pampa, Texas for a short time before Marvin enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. During Marvin's tour, they lived in Dayton, Ohio and after his discharge they returned to the Pampa area. They later moved to Beaver, Oklahoma and remained there for 16 years until moving to Sayre, Oklahoma in 1977 to make their home. Sue was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her passion was raising her family and she loved following her children and grandchildren's sporting activities. She also enjoyed cooking and doing word search puzzles. She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for over 50 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, Chris Anderson, a sister, Gwendolyn Hink and a niece, Janette Umsted.
She is survived by her husband, Marvin Anderson, of the home; 4 children, Mike Anderson, San Antonio, TX, Larry Anderson and wife, Kay, Wheeler, TX, Patti Wheeler and husband,Wayne, Sayre, OKand Richard Anderson and wife, Kim, Belton, TX; 6 grandchildren, Kristie Brummer, Will Wheeler, Boz Anderson, Brittany Vasquez, and Brook Plummer, and Maeli Schulte, 10 great grandchildren, a brother, Bob Hink and wife, Linda, Wheeler, TX; many nieces, nephews and a host, of other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial donations be made in honor of Camden Plummer - C/O the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation 3908 North Peniel Avenue, Bethany, OK 73008.
A memorial services will be held March 6, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Sayre First Baptist Church officiated by Rusty McMullen. Condolences can be made online at www.whineryfs.com
