A Celebration of Life for Shirley D. (Wyrick) Anderson, 85, of Enid, will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, January 15, 2022, at Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Gene Ohls officiating, and Mr. Harley Landrum assisting. A Graveside Service will be held next week at the Evangelical Free Church Cemetery, in Kerkhoven, Minnesota, with Pastor Joshua Hamm officiating. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home.

Shirley was born in Comanche, Ok, to Garlin W. Wyrick and Berdie Leona Cox on July 31, 1936. She was the fourth child of nine children. She attended Wosley School and graduated from Comanche High School. After graduation, she worked for Stephens County Abstract. She was a member of the former Calvary Baptist Church of Enid, for over 33 years.

Shirley met the love of her life, Cecil E. Anderson, at the A&W Drive-In, in Duncan, Oklahoma. Cecil was stationed at Fort Sill, in Lawton, Oklahoma, soon to be transferred to Fort Polk, LA. Shirley drove to Fort Sill, picked up Cecil, and they drove to Wichita Falls, Texas, and were married at the First Baptist Church, Wichita Falls, Texas, on May 3, 1958. She was a proud wife, mother of four children, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Shirley had a kind and gentle spirit, and was the peacekeeper in her family, whom she loved deeply.

Shirley is survived by husband, Cecil Anderson, of the home; daughters, Debbie (Michael) Bray; Donna Dankert, both of Enid; son, John Anderson, of Topeka, KS; sister, Jane (Homer) Varnell, of Duncan, OK; six grandchildren; Stephanie Cunningham, Manual Rangel, Alicia Green, Anthony Rangel, Andrew Rangel (Lety), and Brianna Anderson; seven great-grandchildren; David Cunningham, Jonathan Cunningham, Issac Cunningham, Samuel Cunningham, Ethan Rangel, Chastalynn Green, and Luke Rangel; as well as a host of nieces and nephews along with great-nieces and great-nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents; a son, James Mark Anderson; three brothers, Jimmy Charles Wyrick, Earl Wyrick, and James Wyrick; four sisters, Barbara Jean Tucker, Josephine Martin, Patricia Ann Wyrick and Dorothy Wyrick and daughter-in-law Kathy Anderson.

Memorial contributions in Shirley's name may be made to the Evangelical Free Church Cemetery Fund, of Kerkhoven, Minnesota, with Ladusau-Evans Funeral Home serving as custodian of the funds.

Condolences may be made, memories shared and services viewed online at www.ladusauevans.com.
