Memorial services for Janet Ann Anderson, 48, of Chickasha, will be held Tuesday, June 14, 2005, at 1:00 p.m. in the Ferguson Funeral Home Chapel, with Esten Leonard officiating.
Janet Ann Anderson was born November 15, 1956 in Long Island, New York, the daughter of Clifford Richard Coon and Kayo [KATO] Coon.
She died Tuesday, June 7, 2005, at her home in Chickasha after a courageous battle with cancer.
Janet married her husband and best friend, James Anderson in November of 1979. This union brought them their two children: Kristopher and Michelle.
They celebrated their 25th anniversary this past November.
She served 15 years in the United States Army.
She has been part of the Stipe Law Firm in Oklahoma City since 2000.
Janet touched so many lives and hearts with her free spirit and humor.
A wife, mother, grandmother, sister, daughter, aunt and partner in crime, she has been an inspiration to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing her.
She will always be in our hearts and memories forever.
She was preceded in death by her mother; mother-in-law, Claudia Alene Anderson; and father-in-law, William O. Anderson.
She is survived by her husband, James (Jim) Anderson, of the home; one son and daughter-in-law: Kristopher and Amber Anderson, of Duncan; one daughter, Michelle Anderson, of Chickasha; father, Clifford Coon, of Syracuse, New York; sister, Carol Brown, of Layton, Utah; two brothers: Richard James Coon, of San Antonio, Texas and David Coon, of Mississippi; grandmother, Ellen Cummings, of New York; granddaughter, Kaitlyn, of Duncan, Oklahoma; and through the years she has been a second mother to Kristi Butler, and "Maw Maw Janet" to her son Bray Wilson, both of Chickasha; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Services are under the direction of Ferguson Funeral Home.
