Ponca City – Clarence Anderson, 73, died Tuesday in a Ponca City hospital. His funeral will be 2 PM Friday at the Nazarene Church in Wellington, Kansas. The Rev. Vernon Lindbloom, minister of Calvary Baptist Church of Harper, Kansas, will officiate. Burial will be at Prairie Lawn Cemetery under direction of Franks Funeral Home, Wellington.
Anderson was born November 21, 1911, in Douglas to William and Emelia Siegman Anderson. He was a farmer and construction worker.
Survivors include two sons, Harold, Wellington, Kansas, and Floyd, Wichita, Kansas; four daughters, Vera Finn, Corbin, Kansas, Laura Longbine, Harper, Kansas, Norma Pearson, Wichita, Kansas, and Connie Ray, Wellington, Kansas; a sister, Hazel VanAuken, Wellington, Kansas; 17 grandchildren; and 13 great – grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Thelma, in 1969, a son and a daughter.
