Theressa C. Amrine, 89, passed away at her home on Saturday, January 6, 2018. A Memorial Service will be held on Wedneday, January 10, 2018, at the First Baptist Church in Tryon, OK. Bro.s Bob Fowler and Greg Scott will officiate.
Theressa was born on September 1, 1928, in Kansas City, MO, to Reuben LaVerne and Mildred Pearl (Brenneman) Schwab. Theressa attended Tryon Public Schools and on February 11, 1956, she and George W. Amrine were united in marriage in Guthrie, OK. Theressa held the roles of daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great - grandmother and great- great -grandmother. In addition to these roles and making a home, Theressa worked as a cook on the campus of Oklahoma State University for 22 years.
Theressa was a member of the First Baptist Church in Tryon. She loved the outdoors, gardening, mowing, sewing and scrap quilting.
Theressa was preceded in death by her parents; husband George and sister Latricia Hill.
Theressa is survived by five children: Cheryl Thomas (Dennis) Rozell of OKC; Olen (Teresa) Thomas of Stillwater; Donald (Sandy) Amrine of Carney, OK; Donna Amrine of Tryon; David (Kem) Amrine of Sand Springs; eight grandchildren, Lori, Michael (Christy), Carina, Ryan, Dustin (Ashley), Cody, Eric and Kandis; eight great-grandchildren, Jonas, Davon, Deacan, Hannah, Carissa, Mila, Tyler, and Madison; two great-great grandchildren, Boston and Vincent.
Pallbearers will include grandsons and great-grandsons Michael Rozell, Dustin Amrine, Cody Amrine, Eric Amrine, Jeff Schmitt, Jonas Knighton. Honorary pallbearers will be Davon Amrine, Deacan Amrine, Ryan Jones, Boston Schovanec, Tyler Schovanec and Vincent Schovanec.
Memorial contributions may be made in Theressa's name to Karman Legacy Hospice, 915 S. Main, Stillwater, OK, 74074 or to the First Baptist Church of Tryon.
