Clorus Marie (Walker) Amen
December 29, 1938 ~ December 23, 2015

Clorus Marie Walker Amen was born December 29, 1938 in Eagle City, Oklahoma to William Walker and Lula Mae Rhodes. She passed away December 23, 2015 in Shawnee, OK at the age of 76.

Clorus graduated from Oakwood High School in 1957 and later earned her Master's Degree in reading from UCO.

She married Lee Amen August 9, 1958.

She was a long time member of the Wellston Christian Church, along with the Red Hat Society of Wellston, Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion, and Retired Teachers of Lincoln County. Clorus organized the annual Walker/Rhodes Family Reunion at Canton Lake.

She enjoyed water skiing and camping so much that she and Lee wore out at least 10 different campers. She mostly loved spending time with her grandchildren and as she said, her �greats�.

Clorus was preceded in death by her parents and siblings, Sally Crelly and Leroy Walker.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Lee Amen of the home; children, Lynora Michelle and husband Eddie Steffens, Jr. of Guymon; Lea Marie and husband Roper Howell of Spur, Texas; Laurie Marlene Sheets of Broken Arrow; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; siblings, Bud Walker, Ann Griffith, Gayle Walker and Connie Richardson; and many other family and friends.

A funeral will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 26th at the Wellston Christian Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Lehman Funeral Home of Wellston.
