Thomas Benton “Tommy” Alsup, age 65, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2025, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Born on April 8, 1960, in Lost Cabin, Wyoming, Tommy was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, uncle and friend.
Tommy is survived and lovingly remembered by his daughters: Lauren “Aj” Alsup, Amanda Faith Olvera, Valencia Shealyn Olvera Gensollen and Teri Pope. He is also survived by his brother, JB “Chip” Alsup; his sisters, Linda Denny, Barbara and Christian, and Anna Bishop; ten cherished grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews who adored him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Benjamin Alsup and Joyce Ann Rogers Alsup; his sister, Joyce Ann; his brothers, Danny Rogers, Ricky Rogers, and Leonard Ray “Rocky” Alsup; and his niece, Valerie Kristen Kay Alsup.
Tommy had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed watching football and wrestling. He found joy in fishing, hunting, and horseback riding. A skilled and respected professional bird dog trainer, Tommy trained many dogs over the years. Notably, two dogs he trained from pups for Charlie Jackson of Dallas were later sold for $250,000 each.
Tommy will be deeply missed by his family and all knew and loved him.
Services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Carter Davis and Davis Family Funeral Home – Dewey Chapel.
