Robert (Bob) N. Allen, 85, our gentle, kind, and patient husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, friend, neighbor, has left us. The angels came for him late Saturday night, January 19, 2013. He was surrounded by his loved ones as he crossed over. He was born on November 3, 1927, in Carney, OK but grew up in Wellston. He graduated in 1945 from Wellston H.S.

He met his wife, Twyla, in Wellston, and they were married on October 22, 1948.

They moved to Midwest City in 1951 so he could attend night school at OCU. Eight years later, he graduated with a BA in Industrial Arts. He became a member of Nicoma Park Christian Church in 1963 and served faithfully in many capacities. He was an extremely talented man and a perfectionist in everything he did. He was a very accomplished artist and genealogist.

He was preceded in death by his parents, George T. and Adeline (Ellis) Allen, two sisters and one brother.

He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Twyla; three children: Steve and wife Gayle; Denise Cain and husband Joe; Scott and wife Tonya; seven grandchildren: Robert Bettes and wife Melissa; Rebecca Ansohn and husband Richard; Kristy Ramsey and husband Josh; Jeff Allen; Zachary Allen and wife Amy; Sean Allen; and Lara Allen; four great-grandchildren: Morgan, Mason and Addie Ramsey and Triston Van Winkle; his brother Wayne and wife Gerry; and sister-in-law, Maxine Bacon.
