Jimmie Irene (Shelton) Allen

March 17, 1931 ~ July 10, 1994

Jimmie Irene Allen was born March 17, 1931 in Miami, Texas to Beulah Belle and Henry Merle Shelton and passed away July 10, 1994 in her home at the age of 63 years, 3 months and 23 days.

She moved to Cheyenne, Oklahoma and married Fred E. Allen on September 14, 1957 in Sayre, Oklahoma and they moved to Las Cruces, New Mexico until 1961 when they moved back to Cheyenne where they farmed and Fred was County Clerk. They later moved to Ashland, Kansas in 1979 to make their home.

She was a member of the Crawford Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 1 sister and 1 brother.

Survivors include her husband, Fred of the Home; 2 daughters, Carolyn Moore, Cheyenne and Billie Hall, Meade, Kansas; 4 sons, Eddie Hall, Smith, Alabama, Fred Allen, Jr., Ashland, KS, Curtis Allen, Dodge City, KS, Kevin Allen, Wellington, KS; 1 step daughter, Debra Charles, Emporia, KS; 3 brothers, Tyson Shelton, Elk City, Oklahoma, Joe Merle Shelton, Mobeetie, Texas, Mac Shelton, Perryton, TX; 2 sisters May Bailey, Mobeetie, Texas and Juanelle Eberting, Albuquerque, NM; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services were at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 1994 at the Cheyenne Church of Christ officiated by Willard Cox. Interment was in the Spring Creek Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Service.
