Elmer Guen Allen

 November 11, 1913 ~ September 25, 2005

Elmer Guen Allen, 91, a Tacoma resident, died September 25, 2005

He was born in Leedey, Oklahoma, on November 11, 1913 and raised in Strong City, Oklahoma.

He then moved to Pampa, Texas, where he worked at Cabot Carbon Black.

In 1956 he moved to Tacoma, Washington, and retired from Menasha Corporation in November 1978.

He is survived by wife Olga of 69 years and 9 months; children Guen J. and Jan Allen; Ramona G. and Ronald Owens; Patsy J. and Don Rockwell; grandchildren Barbara and Sentil Masilamani; Shannon and Gary Campbell; Troy and Ty Rockwell; Ronda and Mike LeFrancois; Todd and Sue Rockwell; Ronnie and Diane Owens; Aaron and Tiffany Allen; and eight great grandchildren.

He loved his family and was truly a special man. Rest in peace, Dad.

The family wishes to thank his caregivers and Franciscan Hospice.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his memory to the charity of your choice.

Visitation was Wednesday, September 28, 2005 at Fir Lane Funeral Home.

Services were at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, September 29, 2005 in Fir Lane Memorial Chapel with graveside services to follow in Fir Lane Memorial Park. Fir Lane Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
