Mary Alexander of Bartlesville, OK. passed away Tuesday December 26, 2017 at her home at the age of 80.
Mary was born January 5, 1937 to Buhel and Beulah (Jarrard) Miner in Muskogee, OK. She worked as an X-Ray Technician in Tulsa before moving to Bartlesville in 1977, after marrying Roger. She then worked at Jane Phillips Medical Center and Medical Park Center until retirement. Mary was an avid reader of suspense and mystery novels. She loved traveling, spending time with her family and decorating her home for every holiday. She and Roger were longtime, active members of Disciples Christian Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Roger Alexander, grandson Cory Chafin, and four brothers: Jarrard Miner, Dee Miner, Kent Miner, and Clint Miner.
Survivors include two daughters: Lynnette Nelson and husband Don of Norman, OK., and Jennifer Chafin of Bartlesville, OK. One sister: Treva Wiseman of Bartlesville, OK. Two sons: Danny Alexander of Overland Park, KS. and Kent Chafin of Ada, OK. Four grandchildren: Randy Martin and wife Lina, Dylan Chafin, Sarah Funck and husband David, and Trionna Alexander. Four great grandchildren: Carter Funck, Lana Martin, Kyzen Chafin, and Haley Funck.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2018 1:30 pm at Disciples Christian Church in Bartlesville, OK.
The family requests donations be made to Hopestone Cancer Support Center or Ray of Hope in lieu of flowers.
