Jack L. Alexander, longtime Cushing resident and retired truck driver, passed away on Tuesday, May 27, 2009 in the Linwood Village Nursing Home at the age of 91 years.

Jack was born on February 26, 1918 in Drumright, OK and was reared and educated in this area.

He was united in marriage to Wilma Howard, and in 1957 was married to Juanita Nicholson.

He served his country in World War II, fighting behind General Catton in Germany in the Battle of the Bulge.

Jack was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church; he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and going to the Cushing Senior Citizen Center.

Survivors include two daughters, Sandy and Jerry Evans and LaVeta and Richard Green; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

A private memorial service for the family will be held.
