Donna Jean Virginia Alcorn
February 5, 1934 ~ February 8, 2025

Donna Jean Virginia Alcorn, 91, of Collinsville, passed away peacefully on February 8th. She was born on February 5, 1934, in Concordia, Kansas. She graduated high school in 1950 and went on to graduate college with a two-year degree in 1952. She married the love of her life, Lester Alcorn, on November 6, 1953, in Winfield, KS. They shared 66 wonderful years together before Lester’s passing on March 9, 2020.

Donna and Lester moved to Collinsville in 1956, where they built a beautiful life together with their two children. She dedicated more than 20 years as a children’s librarian at the Collinsville Public Library, fostering a love of reading and learning in countless young minds. Her passion for books and education left a lasting impact on the community she cherished.

Faith was a cornerstone of Donna’s life. Shortly after settling in Collinsville, she and Lester became devoted members of the First United Methodist Church, where they formed lifelong friendships and served with open hearts.

Donna’s greatest joy was her family. She is survived by her two children, Loren Alcorn (sp. Robbin Alcorn), Dana Smith (sp. Chuck Smith) seven grandchildren, Chris Smith, Julie Patton, Chad Smith, Jill Miller, Lance Alcorn, Travis Smith and Tyler Smith, and ten great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her endless pride and happiness. She will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love for those around her.

Visitation will be from 9:00 am - 8:00 pm, Monday, February 17, 2025 at the Collinsville Dolton Funeral Home, with family receiving guests from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm.

A service to honor and celebrate Donna’s life will be held at Meadowcreek United Methodist Church, Collinsville, OK on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at 11:00 am .

Donna’s legacy of love, faith, and dedication to her family and community will forever be cherished.
