Randal Gene Albright

Randal Gene Albright
November 17, 1934 ~ May 25, 2023

Randal Gene Albright of Madill, OK passed away at the age of 88 at his home on May 25, 2023. Gene was born on November 17, 1934 to Ruth and Don Albright formerly of Ada, OK.

Gene was the youngest of three children, his brother Dr. Glenn Albright (deceased) and his sister Barbara Caldwell of Wichita, KS.

Gene was preceded in death by his wife Maxcine Albright. Gene and Maxcine were married August 7, 1953, in Ada at the Central Church of Christ. They celebrated 65 years in 2018.

Gene graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering and had a long successful career in the mining industry, including working abroad in Saudi Arabia. He retired in 1995 as VP of Operations at Vulcan Materials Company, Midwest Division, Oakbrook, Illinois.

Survivors include his 3 children Randy (Gordonville, Tx), Stan Albright (Sheridan, IL) and Suzanne Robbins (Elburn, IL). He had 5 grandsons; Ryan, Trey, Bradley, Tyler and Joshua, 5 great grandchildren; Ava, Cole, Layne, Trevor and Dominic and another great grandchild on the way.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Maxcine Albright, his parents and his brother Dr. Glenn Albright formerly of Ardmore, Ok.

Gene and Maxcine loved to spend their time with family, boating and fishing together, and they enjoyed travelling internationally. Gene was an avid Sooners fan and enjoyed watching both men and women’s sports.

Gene was a faithful servant and member of the Church of Christ in Madill, OK. To his family he was the guiding light and a man of valor. Judges 6:12 “And the angel of the LORD appeared unto him and said to him, The LORD is with thee, thou mighty man of valor.”

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations to Pettijohn Springs Christian Camp c/o Madill Church of Christ, 308 W. Taliaferro Street, Madill, OK 73446.
