Easter M. Beck Aikins, 32, a resident of Heritage Health Care Center, 1630 W 2nd, died Saturday, September 16, 2000 at Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center.
She was born February 25, 1948 at Chanute, the daughter of Charles and Ivyonne Tripp Beck.
She grew up in Chanute and graduated from Chanute High School in 1966.
Following her marriage, she moved to Houston, Texas.
In 1992 she returned to Chanute.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of God and VFW Post 1654 Auxiliary, Chanute.
On September 4, 1966 she married Donnie Eugene Aikins at Chanute. They later divorced.
Survivors include a son, Donnie Aikins, Jr. of Houston, Texas; a daughter, Roxanna Brock of Houston, Texas; her father, Charles Beck of Chanute; two brothers, Larry Joe Beck of Scottsdale, Arizona; and Terry "Pete" Beck of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; and three grandchildren as well as numerous friends.
Services were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday at Gibson-Koch-Friskel Chapel, with Rev. Bill Peters officiating.
Burial was at Memorial Park Cemetery on East 14th Street.
Memorials to the American Lung Association are suggested.
