Karen May (Quary) Adkisson
November 4, 1952 ~ March 10, 2024

Karen May Adkisson, 71, of Prague, Oklahoma, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at her home in Prague. Karen was born on November 4, 1952, in Seminole, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Edward Sidney and Lucille Miranda (Harrelson) Quary. Karen was a 1971 graduate of Prague High School. Karen worked for nearly 15 years at the Wrangler Plant in Prague, retiring in 2002. She also enjoyed attended Garden Grove Missionary Baptist Church with her son and his family.

Karen married Bob Adkisson on July 29, 1975 and they were happily married for 37 years, when Bob preceded her in death in 2012. Karen and Bob made their home in Prague, where they raised their son, Brian. Karen was a dedicated mother and grandmother. She loved spending time with her family and she could always be counted on to step in and help to take care of her precious grandchildren.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Bob Adkisson; her brother, Eddie Quary and her brother-in-law, David Butterfield.

Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Robert "Brian" Adkisson and his wife, Jenny, of Prague; three grandchildren, Haley Smith and her husband, Anthony, of Prague, Jake Adkisson of Prague and Bobby Adkisson of Prague; her twin sister, Sharon Butterfield, of Prague; nieces, Jen Howell and her wife, Lacey, of Prague and Dawn Cahoon and her husband, Clifton, of Prague and host of family and friends.

A memorial service is scheduled for 1:00 PM on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Garden Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Prague.
