Sharon Yvonne (Roberts) Abel

September 9, 1938 ~ April 6, 2017

Sharon Yvonne Abel, 78 of Vera, OK passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017 in Tulsa, OK. She was born September 9, 1938 in Taloga, OK to Waldo Roberts and the former Jessie Evans.

She had lived in Vera for the last 17 years having moved from Collinsville, OK. She retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She enjoyed painting, needlework and Gardening. Sharon loved to watching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as other family members, participating in basketball.

She is survived by her husband, Woody Ray Abel of the home. 6 daughters: Crystal Brown and her husband Kevin of Vera, Karen Russell of Vera, Melanie Jones and her husband Mark Glick of Amarillo, TX, Brandi Hedlund and her husband Greg of Collinsville, Ralene Jones and her husband Kent of Broken Arrow and Jenene Atzbach and her husband Ray of Chelsea. 14 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by 1 sister: Karen White and her husband Larry of Collinsville.

Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m., Monday, April 10, 2017 at the Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Tim Odom officiating.
