Elizabeth Yvonne Ormand Aanderud was born September 12, 1930, in Hobart, Oklahoma the daughter of Arthur and Mabel Byrd Ormand.
At the age of 7, she moved to Cheyenne, Oklahoma attended school and graduated from school there. She then moved to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, attended Draughn's Business School, took singing lessons and worked as a filing clerk.
On October 16, 1953, she married Rodger Aanderud in Alameda, California.
They returned to North Dakota in 1956, living at Maddock, Churchs Ferry and Leeds. In 1972, they moved to Michigan where Elizabeth had a daycare center in her home. She later worked as a cook and waitress at the Kite Cafe in Michigan and at the Sunlac Inn at Lakota.
Elizabeth was a member of the Michigan Lutheran Church and its WELCA; served as Judge for the City of Michigan and for 16 years did the laundry for the Michigan Ambulance Service.
Survivors include her husband Rodger; two sons, Michael of Mesa, Arizona; and Lee of Columbia, South Carolina; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Allan Popowski of Devils Lake; and Amanda and Brian Boxall of San Jose, California; two grandchildren, Alicia and Derek Pospowski of Devils Lake; three brothers, Arthur Eugene Ormand of Cheyenne, Oklahoma; Charley Ray Ormand and Lloyd Ormand both of Mangum, Oklahoma; two sisters, Anna Bell McGlothlin of Spring Valley, California; and Peggy Cunningham of Cadiz, Kentucky; several nieces and nephews and her special children, the Hendrickson's of Lakots.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Arlene and a sister, Dorothy.
Burial in Viking Cemetery, Maddock, North Dakota.
