William “Gene” Monday, 65, truck driver, passed away at
his Ramona residence at 9:24 am on Sunday, March 12,
2017.
Gene was born on February 24, 1952 in Nowata, Oklahoma
to parents Everett and Martha (Marler) Monday. He was
raised and educated in Wann, Oklahoma and graduated in
1970 as class President. He worked, most of his life, as
a truck driver. He worked for Bonham Trucking then later
became self-employed as Gene Monday Trucking.
Gene enjoyed camping, fishing and hunting.
Gene is survived by two daughters Becky Haberly and
husband Kenny, Angie Hines and husband Robert; two sons
Stacy Viles and Beth Bishop and Donnie Waller all of
Ramona, Oklahoma; his mother Martha Ellen Monday of Wann,
Oklahoma; three brothers Jim Monday of Sherman, Texas,
Glen Monday and wife Alene of Stigler, Oklahoma and Tony
Monday and wife Becky of South Coffeyville, Oklahoma;
seven grandchildren Dustin Haberly, Nicholas Haberly,
Drake Hines, Hunter Hines, Maddux Hines, Zayne Viles and
Darian Danitz; six great grandchildren and numerous
nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his father and two daughters Michelle
and Billie Monday and Helen Monday.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 14 from 8 am to 8
pm at Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville, Oklahoma.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, March 16 at
1:00 pm at the Wann First Baptist Church in Wann,
Oklahoma.
