William [Bill] Robert Davis Sr., 65, long-time Nowata resident,
left this life to meet his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at 6:28 A.M. on Tuesday,
October 8, 2019 at the Cancer Center Treatment of America in Tulsa.
Funeral services will be held at 10 A.M on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at the
Nowata First Baptist Church with Rev. Johnathan Long of H.I.S. Life Church in
Nowata officiating.
Interment will be in the C.L. Davis Cemetery southeast of
Nowata directed by the Stumpff-Nowata Funeral Home.
Visitation will be held at the Stumpff-Nowata Funeral Home on Monday, from 9
A.M. until 8 P.M. and the family will receive guests at the funeral home from 6
P.M. until 8 P.M.
Bill was born at Barnsdall, Oklahoma on February 16, 1954, the son of Claude L.
Davis Sr. and Dora Faye [Hickinbotham] Davis. He lived his early years in
Skiatook until moving with his family to the Nowata area in 1961. He completed
his education in the Nowata schools, graduating from Nowata High School in 1972.
He was active as a farmer with his father and later started his own business,
Circle D Welding. He then returned to his own farming business, Davis & Sons
Farms. He was married to Delores Kay Blevins on September 27, 1977 in Nowata.
They have made their home in the Nowata area since that time where he remained
active in farming, bulldozer work and as a tractor mechanic. He was a loving
husband, father and grandpa and will be greatly missed by his family and
friends.
He was preceded in death by his father in 2009 and his mother in 2019.
