Lewis Lowell Green Sr, 89, passed away on August 10, 2017 at The Journey Home in Bartlesville OK. Lewis was born on July 24, 1928 in Parsons KS to Ellsworth Green and Irene Pointer.

Lewis was raised by Lee Etta Sayles and grew up in South Coffeyville OK. Lewis graduated from Douglas High School in Lenapah OK. After high school he began work for The Parsons Railroad, Parsons Ammunition Plant. He retired in 1993 after 30 years from The Acme Foundry. He also enjoyed being a security guard at Eagle Security after retirement.
Lewis married Rosie E Brown in 1948 in South Coffeyville OK. They were happily married for 68yrs. Lewis was a member of The Little Flock Baptist Church. Lewis was a member of the Gospel Group, The Southern Aires. Lewis enjoyed singing, gardening, and playing dominoes. Lewis also received an award from The Saint Paul District for being a Deacon for 48 years.

Lewis is survived by his spouse Rosie of South Coffeyville OK; his sons Lewis Green Jr, wife Alice Green, William Green, wife Edna Green, Luther Green, wife Barbara Green, Cecil Green, wife Dionne Powell Green, Erick Green, significant other Sammy Jo Majors; his daughters Adelphia Penn, husband James Penn, Inola Irene Austin, fiancé Steven Griffin, Louise Gillette, and husband Cliff Gillette; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and his nieces and nephews and other relatives.

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 17, 2017 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Stumpff Nowata Funeral Home and funeral services will be held on Friday, August 18, 2017 at 1:00 pm at the Cowboy Capital Fellowship in Lenapah with interment to follow at the Hickory Creek Cemetery.
