Retired Perry Fire Captain/EMT Kenneth “David” Brandon, 63, was born August 21, 1960, in Pawnee, Oklahoma, the son of Kenneth Martin Brandon and Judy Ann Barrows Brandon. He passed away July 6, 2024, at Stillwater Medical Center, Perry.
 

A Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 12, 2024, at Dighton-Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Perry.

He will be buried in Sumner Cemetery.
 

David grew up in Carney, Oklahoma, graduating in 1979. He briefly attended Oklahoma State University. He was hired by the City of Perry as a fireman at Perry Fire Department in 1981 and worked 22 years before retiring in 2003 as captain. He is the father of one daughter, Macy Carder of Midwest City, Oklahoma.
 

David dearly loved his daughter and family. His unique combination of quick wit and dry sense of humor always made people laugh. He loved football and was an avid University of Oklahoma fan. His hobbies included golf, astronomy, reading, country dancing and taking trips to Las Vegas. 
 

He was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Brandon and a nephew, Jesse Donovan.

Survivors include his daughter, Macy Carder; his mother, Judy Owens; and siblings: Lisa Hall and her husband Brent of Tryon, Oklahoma, Lori Siliven and husband Kevin of Oakdale, IL; Steven Brandon and wife Cheryl of Lincoln, NE, and Katheryn Byerly of Perry, OK; and several nieces and nephews.
