Once more the Angel of Death visited our community and took away the
beloved wife of W. C. Bowers. She died at the hospital in Oklahoma City
after suffering agony for almost two weeks.
She was a Christian and was a kind and loving wife and mother. The home
Church, Sunday School and Aid have lost a member whose place can never
be filled.
The services were held Friday afternoon at the Christian Church, Elder Gibble of Enid conducted the service, and the choir were: Mesdames H. Smoot, H. Kyger, Wm Dixon and Dale Eales.
She was laid to rest by the side of two small sons, who had preceded her to a better land, where there is no pain or sorrow.
To the bereaved ones the sympathy of friends is extended. Life, Death, and Immortality - these three. The first, the Road, the second the Gate. She walked safely the first, passed triumphantly the second and rests forever in the third.
Mrs. T. (Mattie) Kingsley of Glencoe, Mrs. L. (Anna Belle) Buffington of Luther, Mrs. J. (Estella Bowers) Malone of Warner, the Geo & Laura (Bowers) McClain family and Mrs. Ella Bays of Stillwater, Mrs. and Mrs. Wiley Bays and Jess Bays of near Stillwater, attended the funeral of Mrs. Bowers.
