Bernard Wayne Dahl was born November 21, 1938, in Appleton, Wisconsin, to Clifford Richard Dahl and Ethel Ida Runquist Dahl.
Bernie graduated from Neenah High School in 1956 and went on to Bethel College in St. Paul, Minnesota. He then transferred to University of Minnesota where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1961. He continued his education at the University of Minnesota on a US Public Health Service fellowship and earned a Master of Science degree in 1962. He subsequently served two years as a commissioned officer of US Public Health Service. He married Jennie Lou Peterson of Minneapolis on September 15, 1962. Bernie worked for various consulting engineering firms. He received both the Phillip F. Morgan and George Bradley Cascoigne Medals from the Water Environment Federation in 1972 and 1973 respectively for papers on plant scale research projects.
Since Bernie’s retirement he served briefly on the Red Rock town board and as
the Secretary/Treasurer of the Red Rock Cemetery Association. At the time of
his death, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ponca City.
