Burial will be in Red Rock Cemetery . Visitation with the family will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2009, at the funeral home.
He was born March 9, 1925, in Red Rock to William Lee and Lorraine Bissel Cooper and died Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at Perry Memorial Hospital, Perry.
He served in the Navy from 1944 to 1946. He married Marie Kathleen Foreman March 20, 1946, in Perry. She died Oct. 1 1986. He farmed and raised cattle. He was a member of Ceres Christian Church and Red Rock Sportsman Club.Surviving are two sons, Charles Roy Cooper of Red Rock and Craig Lee Cooper of Inola; one daughter, Cheryl Marie Sharp of Tuttle; two brothers, Marvin Cooper and Leon Cooper , both of Hennessey; two sisters, Coralie Manning of Broken Arrow and Wanda Gibson of Van Buren, Ark.; two grandchildren; and his companion, Thelma Oldridge.
In addition to his wife, Marie, he was preceded in death by two sisters and one infant brother.Memorials may be made be made through the funeral home, 1010 N. 7th Street, Perry, OK 73077, to Wheatheart Nutrition Center.
