Lynden Clay Younge, 55, of Morrison, OK, passed away Saturday, October 25, 2014 in Tulsa, OK.
Born on June 7, 1959 in San
Francisco, CA to Llewellyn and Leora Zimmerman Younge.
He came to Oklahoma at a very early age and graduated Red Rock High
School. He was a construction worker by trade. He loved his family
with all his heart. He loved gardening and cooking, and could can
better than most women. He was very generous and was willing to help
people in any way possible. One of his passions was being a
volunteer firefighter for both Pawnee and Iowa Tribes he was
involved with helping during the Katrina Hurricane and also the
Space Shuttle Disaster. He loved playing the guitar and he had
taught his brothers to play. You could always see him smiling and
was a big teaser. He loved playing and watching baseball and his
favorite football team was the New York Giants. Being a member of
the OtoeMissouria Tribe, he was very faithful to his people.
He is survived by his MotherLeora Younge of Arcadia, KS,
fatherLlewellyn Younge of Morrison, OK, children April Younge of
Tulsa, OK, Michelle YoungeStonecypher of Tulsa, OK, Clay Buster
Young of Springfield, MO and Maimie Younge of Red Rock, OK. Brothers
and sisters Lew Bub Younge of Morrison, OK, Charis Younge of
Oskaloosa, MO, Cary Younge of Morrison, OK, Luana Younge of Tulsa,
OK, Chris Younge of Oskaloosa, MO, Laurel Younge of Morrison, MO,
Lofton Younge of Arcadia, KS, Lynetta Younge of Arcadia, KS, Landon
Younge of Arcadia, KS and Laurin Pete Younge of Arcadia, KS. 4
grandchildren and 23 nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 29, 2014 at
the Otoe Baptist Church of Red Rock, OK.
Burial will be in the OtoeMissouria
Tribal Cemetery.
