James Tohee longtime resident of Red Rock passed away Tuesday evening in Ponca City, March 21, 2017. He was 23 years of age.
James was born on August 16, 1993 in
Stillwater, OK to Vernon Roy Tohee and Berdina Atkins Tohee.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 27, 2017 following the
traditional noon feast and Give away in the Otoe Missouria Cultural
Center. Interment will
follow in the Otoe – Missouria Tribal Cemetery. Arrangements
are in care of Grace Memorial Chapel of Ponca City, OK.
James grew up in Oklahoma and he spent most of his time living in
Red Rock, OK. James worked in Construction most of his life. He
enjoyed spending time with friends and family. James never meet a
stranger and he loved being around people. He also enjoyed Fishing.
James enjoyed being the life of the Party and when he walked into a
room you knew he was there.
James is survived by: 3 children: Aden Tohee and Leticia ''Letty''
Tohee and baby girl Tohee, due in July all of Ponca City, OK;
Parents; Vernon and Berdina Tohee; 3 brothers: Vernon Tohee, Elijah
Tohee and Jaxsen Tohee all of Red Rock, OK; 2 sisters; Tori Tohee of
Red Rock, OK and Tia Tohee of Anadarko, OK ; 2 grandmothers;
Georgette Childs of Red Rock, OK and Lillian Atkins of Stillwater,
OK also surviving are numerous Aunts, Uncles and Cousins and 1
niece.
James was preceded in death by 2 grandfathers: Herman Bassett and
Vernon Gale Tohee.
